Read all the reviews and realize the people are not understanding this place and have egos to match. Rene French Laundry is not a normal dry cleaner and admittedly does look like a low end dry cleaner by superficial outer appearances. But I know they are careful about new customers because they have these experiences where people bring in $50 shirts and don’t expect it to cost $20 to clean or bring in $500 suits and don’t expect it to be $100 for cleaning. Prices vary based on work quality. Economics 101. I can’t afford Rene French Laundry regularly but every once in a while I will buy a high end used item off of eBay and have them so my initial dry cleaning. They do a great job and gives me confidence that I take something someone else wore and make me comfortable wearing it, even if it costs me higher than normal dry cleaning. So this place deserves 5 stars and the folks rating it badly just don’t understand.

Wonderful service! Very quick turn around. My husband needed a shirt pressed for a big meeting the next day and they were able to get it done in an hour or so. Incredibly convenient for my schedule! Great pricing compared to others I called, too, who couldn’t get it done until 5, if that.

The same wash and dry cleaning method/process at your location and other high cleaners pricing applies to both cotton and linen. (suede and leather are the exception) There isn't any other cleaner who charges differently dry cleaning prices cotton vs. linen other than Rene's. $15 is considered pricey by most (not me) but never try to convince me or anyone else there is a difference with linen. That just an insult to our intelligence.

Stay away from this place. I dropped off a dress last week, just like I would've dropped it off at any other dry cleaner. The dress I had a couple of oil stains and when I picked it up the owner showed it to me that the stains had been removed, then proceeded to show me what I owed, a staggering $75! I asked him if he was kidding, and he said: have you ever been here before? I responded that I had, even though I had done a simple hem repair before, not a cleaning. Who charges $75 for cleaning? The place is not luxurious, it's even worse than other regular cleaners. The owner said I should've Asked for an estimate. Who asks for an estimate at the dry cleaner? I ended up leaving the dress because it cost me $30. This has been the most ridiculous encounter I have ever had in my life. And to top it off, they don't even accept credit cards. If you are that expensive you can only have celebrities as customers, and then your place should look like luxury, and you should have a warning sign outside.

On October 25th, I took a shirt in to Rene's to be cleaner. The person at the counter asked whether I had ever been there before. I told him "No, this is the first time." He pointed to a sign and said that it would cost $20.00 to clean and press the shirt, but because this was the first time he would offer to clean and press the shirt for $15. This is a regular cotton shirt; nothing special. I politely thanked him and left. Even on the Westside, I don't expect prices to be like that!
