UPDATE THEY NEVER REACHED OUT OR REFUNDED ME. TERRIBLE SERVICE DURING AN ALREADY ROUGH TIME. I had booked a cut last minute (the night before) and woke up with a fever and needed to cancel/reschedule. I would have been the first appt of the day. They were incredibly rude. I tried to call and text both met with a extremely rude response. I am a first time client and was treated beyond poorly. They charged me the full $160 for the service I did not receive. I told them I would come in if that was going to be the case (because I don’t have money to just throw away) with fever and all and they told me that was not an option and the stylist had left but was booked the rest of the day and this was my fault she had to come into work even though she was working all day? During covid times I do not think anyone should have to risk getting sick and I think there needed to be some compassion on their end. I can understand a small fee for canceling but the full amount and the rudeness is unacceptable. Things have been very tough for everyone and that is so much money spent for nothing at all. I should at least be able to reschedule. This experience was terrible. Clearly the stylist didn’t show up one hour early to WORK and I was forced to try and come in ill just to not lose almost $200 only to be told no. It was booked under the Name Ashley Estes. She booked the appointment for me through an app. I am happy to share all text correspondence about coming in and rescheduling anything to keep from being charged so much during these difficult times.
Unfortunately, this salon does not seem to be great for new clients. I was a first time client May 22, 2021 and was really looking forward to treating myself to my first haircut in over 2 years. I chose this high end salon with the idea that I would be paying top dollar ($230) for someone who would really listen to what I wanted and who would take time with me. My stylist was very nice and seemed to have a great deal of skill and experience (Gia) but maybe just had a rushed or off day, which isn't even why I'm leaving a review. Gia gets 5 stars! The salon itself is what I would give 0 stars to if I could. I asked for big volume, layers, haircut good for a blow out and came out of it with a blunt, no layered cut. I sent an email asking what my options were because I have never been unhappy with a cut to the point of asking for options. I got a voicemail back stating there were no refunds on services and good luck finding a stylist. I called and left a voicemail for them asking for clarity on where I could find the information stating there were no refunds and what kind of other options I may have (you know, customer service type stuff) and followed up with an email asking the same. I got the same response in an email. They don't want your patronage, they just want your money and they hope you never come back unless you're already an established client with them. I'm really not sure how the customer service can be SO bad. I'm very sad that I wasted 1/4 of my biweekly paycheck on what was supposed to be the first nice thing I've been able to do for myself in years and then to get treated like I'm the one who did something wrong. And for the owners, I'd suggest plastering on your website, instagram, emails, etc that you don't do refunds so people can save themselves.
Dream salon in every way ❤️❤️❤️
Ra Beauty Bar is a great salon. Christina F is so amazing at everything, from cut/color/styling. I totally recommend her for color. The salon and service is so nice. It’s a hidden gem with a Spa feel.
I simply love this place! RA_hair house is not just a hair salon-it's an experience! Kennedy is extremely talented she Knows how to work with my curly hair! the complete staff is super nice and the atmosphere is great!
