Good airport to fly into, have lunch or see local Sacramento sites. The Aviators Restaurant has good food at very reasonable prices. Currently open for breakfast and lunch only. Service was fast and the views out the window are good.

Great facility and yummy food. However, there are rumors regarding to ATC(air traffic controller)'s lack of professionalism and repetitive rudeness. We encountered a few examples when we overheard ATC berates and give attitude to some pilots over some minor radio mishaps. Such as incorrect aviation phraseology and miscommunication that requires ATC to repeat. All in all, the ATC is very knowledgeable but they seemed to be overwhelmed by the workload and thus project their stress on pilots from time to time. Nice airport to fly in, but would not recommend it to students or fresh pilots. Causing inexperienced pilots unnecessary stress can lead to a safety of flight concern. Especially when the ATC's sole job is to help pilots stay safe in the air. Hope the management looks into it.
