Oh man, what a fantastic place. Loved it so much I stayed 5 years! Professors were decent for the most part. Professor Jeff Hay (History) was absolutely phenomenal. I went here from 09-14 when sports were in their golden era and when tuition was still $3k a semester. Overall just a marvelous campus with so much to do. Take advantage of every amenity (especially the ARC) while you're here. San Diego is a great city and you will have zero regrets here I promise you that.
The oldest university in San Diego. Parking lots (not free) available. Public transportation available. HWY I-8 nearby. Many dinning options nearby. Not too many study options (colleges) available. Campus is not very big. Easy access. About 10 minutes driving distance to Westfield Mission Valley Mall and Fashion Valley Mall.
The campus is amazing. The teachers are outstanding. The business schools is one of the best and they continue to get more competitive year after year. Also can't beat living in SD
Fantastic university. Excellent academic and social experience. I no longer live in Southern California but when I come home I try to get to State. Loved Roberto's on University Avenue (although it's named something else now).
I visited a friend while the University was on the tail end of move in week. And if anyone knows at any college/university move in week is straight up insanity. However, of SDSU parking was a breeze, finding the dorm I needed was easy and the overall moving around from place to place was busy but not frustrating. Most people were easy going and knew offense shouldnt be taken thanks to all the hustle and bustle. Oh! And though this campus is relatively open, to access student housing is actually a fairly secure setting- this was great to see. Overall, a beautiful location and within 20 minutes of driving to downtown SD.
