    They legitimately came to get my cat out of a tree in 2015. I understood it was a training opportunity, and that my cat would have eventually gotten out of the tree herself, and in general you shouldn't call the fire department for non-emergencies... The kitty was only 40ft off the ground from one side of the tree, but it was a ~150ft drop on the other side of the tree and we were sad and scared! I just couldn't keep listening to her "meow" and not try to get help. So grateful they came and got my kitty to safety

    I could be wrong, but I think the weather station that represents Willits weather is at the station in this redwood canyon. The temperature here is a lot lower than elsewhere around Willits. It can be a real relief from the heat!
