    Along Loma Rica road, there's a small cafe that sells Mexican food. There aren't many Mexican restaurants up in the hills, but this gem really answers that craving for the real deal. We had just eaten pizza, so we weren't hungry at the time. But I had been wanting tamales for weeks. Well, we weren't disappointed. The tamales were full of pork, covered by tasty masa. When we come back up to Oregon House to camp, we'll definitely be back. Try it. What do you have to lose?

    El Charrito's is a great addition to this community, with fast service and friendly owner. There is no indoor dining, only take out at this time. You can call ahead to order and the food is hot when you receive it. Prices are great too. He serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Closed Sundays and Mondays. I eat here about once a week.
