Extremely disorganized and do not care about you or your problem unless you virtue signal. They don’t even pay some of their employees who handle sensitive documents. School has only self interest; considering they have multiple offices not even located on campus (they’re embarrassed being there). They can’t keep a straight and secure staff, it’s really an embarrassment to the community. They even asked for more funding last election with 4 series of funding already. They’re in more debt than they can shake; thank God for the federal bail out money they took from the rest of America. This school is only interested in the little ones who cry Wolf instead of the integrity of America. Beware and avoid at all cost.
Went to see a counselor. Had to wait over 3.5 hours. I asked the counselor who stated administration is to blame. It seems money is being used in other non student areas. Our students are the future, students and community need more say on where money is allocated. Yuba College is among many schools with an extremely high student failure rate. Administration needs to fix this, or the current administration needs to be replaced, the college can save money this way too.
Very friendly staff and covid 19 precautions are in place. I love this place!! A must see!
If you aren't dropped in a course you really need, or if you're about to transfer they consolidate all the kids in one class because there is super low enrollment. This School is disorganized from Top to Bottom and they react like a deer in headlights when their feet are held to a fire. Their Veteran's program is terrible and they aren't there for the students. All the staff are LAZY/COMPLACENT at every angle. The mentality of the college is that every department is a leg that no other department has access to, meaning they have a different uniquely paid for system that only works in each section. This is not how I have known schools to be run, let alone designed for Student Success. If you want to succeed and get to a University in a reasonable amount of time, then go straight to Sierra/Butte/ARC. Yuba college including Tawny Dotson have no real initiative to help the students success or mental well being. The Chancellor also avoids conflict, so finding a solution is as good as waiting in a line that never ends. He's drawing over $300k annually, and the students are not the primary focus. Seems top heavy, and arrogant. Find yourself another institution, this one will probably close soon. Avoid this place like the plague.
Great school! Went there for 4 years and got 4 A.S degrees
