The decision of the Shire Council some years ago to make Tahmoor the commercial centre of the district has proved a wise one, and a boon to all. What was once a scrubby and scruffy lot of sheds and tumbledown houses is now a busy and popular retail centre. Well-designed, taking advantage of a sloping block, there is above-ground and underground parking. Woolies Supermarket dominates, and the stores around it are well-chosen for other kinds of goods. The Village has an inviting ambience. The premises are clean, safe, convenient, and a pleasure to patronise. A liquor store, patisserie, pharmacist, hairdressers, bakery, fast-food outlets, petrol pumps, and a very popular 'two-dollar' shop make this a one-stop marketing venue. Just around the corner are the post-office, the newsagent and more shops. 2021: and now a Medical Centre has been added. Down the southern end of town are Aldi, and smaller shopping complex, which includes another Medical Centre. Tahmoor is now the place to go when the cupboard is bare!
Easy to find parking..(free) undercover, great shops.
Convenient place.. supermarket, take out and an exceptional coffee shop. Nothing over the top there so it’s easy to zip in and out.

Big woolworths, fabulous butcher, chemist, bottle shop, a home, Subway, kfc etc Toilets, pretty busy and small carpark, time your trip well can get extremely busy,
