Was looking for a local Chinese and tried Good Luck at Picton. We ordered takeaway. Servings were very generous, food was really tasty. Some of the best Chinese I’ve had in a while. Spring rolls were actually made with real meat, we had Mongolian lamb and sizzling chicken in Peking sauce - both with a great amount of meat. Eating in would be a step back in time, very dated however seemed quite clean. The takeaways seemed to be gang busters with plenty of pick ups. Definitely recommend, give it a go!
The food is good and servings are generous. The place is clean and the toilet gets a thumbs up. It's value for money and better than many Chinese restaurants I've been to in Sydney and other places in NSW and the ACT. Service is attentive but not intrusive. I recommend the special fried rice and the salt and pepper pork ribs (it has thick breading but I liked the flavour and not really sure it's ribs-- no bones) but if you don't like spicy food just push the fried chillies to the side of the plate.
We ordered take away for dinner Friday 11th June and we give a big thumbs up for quality, quantity and price. Our order was long soup, ham & chicken rolls, szechuan king prawns and sizzling king prawns in crab meat sauce and fried rice. We enjoyed everything we ordered and as this was our first time we definitely will be dining again. Thank you for a great meal.
We got the package A and it was really good value for money!! The curry chicken was the best I have had.. delicious!! We will be back, Thankyou 😊
Excellent value old style Cantonese food. Heaps on plate. Old decor but friendly helpful owners. BYO. Good for families and when you want a big feed
