    One of the most beautiful temples in Algeria. I was astonished by the amount of preserved details in the various corners of the temple and I couldn't believe such a small construction could stand for hundreds of years.

    Only a few meters from Caracalla Gate in the interior of the citadel of Solomon is one of the oldest temples in the world, the "temple of Minerva". This building dedicated to Minerva, one of the oldest deities of Roman mythology, goddess of war, wisdom and intelligence, was built from 9i to 117 AD. It is the only ancient temple in the whole Algeria and is still standing and we'll preserved. It's length is 15 m and its width is 9 m as the same as its high. In the front view, we can see ornaments, eagles with open wings, holding in their claws two snackes, while those of large size have the attributes of Minerva.

    Minarv temple museum located in the wilaya of Tebessa. It was built between 98-117 AD and is a very old temple and the only one in Algeria that is still standing and preserved. In the Byzantine era it was transformed into a church, and in the Ottoman era it was transformed into a prison, and in the colonial period it was transformed into a church. Currently, it is an open museum for visitors, characterized by the presence of several valuable artifacts.     This museum is beautiful and I recommend visiting it with a tour guide as we did because the explanations are clear and informative.
