I did the waterfall, villages, cave, and elephant bathing experience. As I was not interested in riding the elephants, my interaction time with them was very short and only lasted around 15 minutes. I wish I’d had more time with the elephants as this was the main attraction for me, and I wish it had been more educational as well. There were also no villages, I think this part of it was when we drove past some villages and our driver asked if we wanted to get out and buy stuff from the street vendors. Lunch was amazing and was the highlight of the day.
My boyfriend and I had a great day biking, hiking, swimming in a watering hole & kayaking with our guide Deang. He brought us lunch of fresh river fish, sticky rice, vegetables. All were so good. We stopped at a local pineapple stand to buy & cut up fresh pineapple - we swear it was the best we ever had. Such a nice day. The price was the most affordable in town and we were happy to support a local Laos travel agency.
Here is tourist office of Manifa Elephant Camp. You can book elephant camp tour here and experience traditional "Mahout" elephant riding. They are owned and operated by local Laos people, so their price is a little better than others. Service is also excellent.
The best day so far during our trip, we had together with Manifa travel, our guide Sai and all the other wonderful personal. Thank you again!
Best value tour. We did the full day Pak Ou cave, Whisky village, lunch at elephant camp, Kwang Si waterfall and Hmong village. Tour was done just as explained when we booked it. Tour guide was also very good in English and very helpful. Enjoyed the tour very much.
