The church is open on weekdays until at least 13:00. If there is time and necessity, you can be alone in the chapel, which is sometimes very important.

In the Talsi, the Roman Catholic faith was proclaimed from January 17, 1231, as evidenced by the treaty signed by the Curonian king Lamekin and the Pope's envoy Baldouin. [2] The first Catholic church in Talsi, a small wooden building, was built before 1403 on what is now the Church Hill. It was demolished during the Reformation. The church is a brick building built in a modernist style with a stylized small bell tower that has three bells. They are called "Faith, Hope and Love" and were consecrated on September 13, 2005 by Wilhelm Lapel, Bishop of the Diocese of Liepaja [6], symbolically completing the reconstruction of the temple and thanks to all the supporters of the reconstruction project. The church is surrounded by a church garden, but is not enclosed by a fence, thus symbolizing openness to all. There are multi-storey buildings around the Banitsa. The church is a single nave space. Above the entrance is a choir room, with balconies on either side of the churches. The choir houses the first organ of the church, donated by Monsignor Peter Dupat, which was assembled under the direction of master V. Shepelev and dated Andrejs Mediņš on Palm Sunday, April 16, 2000. There is one table altar in the church, behind which is an altar tapestry by the textile artist V. Lapina from Roja. In front of it is a hanging wooden crucifix with the image of the Savior. Metal Tabernacle is the work of metal artist M. Zibenis. There is also the Chapel of Our Lady on whose western wall, in 2004, the textile piece "Injured Hearts" by Daina Sproge was erected in honor of Our Lady's Birthday. [7] There are 14 stations of the Crossroads, which are graphically designed by J. Bārda. There are also new steps in the church, and the author of the plebian project is M. Zeberga. The congregation is part of the Liepaja Diocese of the Roman Catholic Riga Metropolitan Clergy. The church is served by Dean Tom Priedolins. [8] The congregation became a permanent community after 1920, when Kurzeme and Zemgale were separated from the Tent Diocese and added to the Riga Diocese. The church has Catholics living in Talsi and its surrounding area. Church services are held daily. There is a Catechesis and Sunday School in the church, a choir, four "living Rosary circles", a book table. The church has two cemeteries - Talsi Cemetery and Freetown Cemetery.

The church, after its renovation, is unusually beautiful, gathering lots of fish.
