    Talsi State Gymnasium, founded in 1919 as a high school for girls and boys, was located on Myllenbach Street 30. In the early thirties, the school acquired the status of a State Gymnasium, but a little later began building a new school building on Brivibas Street. In 1996, the primary school was completely separated, but in grammar school classes, students begin their programs according to the principle of programs. Talsi Gymnasium is a UNESCO Associated School since June 17, 1998.
