    It's an average small town ferry, but the people are very nice. The transit isn't very long and my son and I had a pleasant journey over to the island. Would definitely recommend it, but you really don't have many choices about how to get to Hrisey.

    Caught the Konsull ferry to Hrísey. Paid using contactless card on the ferry itself. Runs every two hours during the day. Waiting room with toilet if you arrive early, and gravel car park by the quayside.

    The ferry is small but beautiful. Every 2 hours it goes to the island and back.
