So far my favorite part of Iceland! We stopped by in hopes that she would be open (as it says in her brochure is a possibility) and she was there with family and 2 very sweet dogs! She welcomed us with a smile and showed us her extremely neat process of dying and explained the different plants (and other natural things) she uses to do so! If I had more luggage space for the way home, I would have left with more yarn!

A free well spoken informative tour. The lady has an extensive knowledge about plants and the process of wool dying. There is also home made dyed wool for sell! Non intrusive and very fun to see! Takes about 25 minutes!

What a great find in this calm area just outside busy Selfoss. I loved learning about how the wool is graded and the process. Bought some very nice things which I can not wait to make into mittens.
