Love the food and service over there
Ti Mouillage, the public beach just outside of Cayes-Jacmel? Excellent! It's not overly busy, the water isn't too deep, it's a nice sandy beach and there's lots of locals playing soccer to keep you entertained if you get tired of body surfing. The Resto bar squatting on public land and pretending that all visitors must pay to enter the area? Rotten. The prices are twice as expensive as anywhere else, the service is abysmal, and the business has been built by a conniver slowly expanding on public land over the past 10 years to the point that now they tell visitors it's a private beach and you have to pay or order something to enter. Don't be fooled! Ignore the restaurant, bring a cooler and enjoy the waves! Hungry? Try La Referance or Vue Sur Mer nearby.
