    one of the very few monuments dedicated to a great man, though, admittedly, niche relevance. the site also has an audio element, if memory serves me well, which is a welcome addition to the overall experience

    Robert Schuman has his place in the collective memory of the Luxembourg people. A high school in the capital bears his name, as does the Rond Point which, via the Red Bridge, gives access to the European district of Kirchberg. At the entrance to the bridge a monument recalls the memory of the father of the European Coal and Steel Community. In Kirchberg itself a building housing the secretariat of the European Parliament took the name of the founding father. Going down from Kirchberg on the Trois Glands side, you arrive in the lower town of Clausen where Robert Schuman was born in 1886 in a beautiful bourgeois house that the Grand-Ducal State acquired in 1985 as part of the cultural heritage of Luxembourg, from France and Europe.
