Nice 👍Gilgit, Pakistan - September 30, 2016: A monument with Chinese Mandarin and steps characters located at the Chinese Cemetery or China Yadgar at Danyor, Gilgit, Pakistan. The graveyard is the final resting place for many Chinese workers, mostly soldiers, who died in Pakistan during the construction of the Karakoram Friendship Highway (KKH) in the 1960s and 1970s. The KKH connects Pakistan's Gilgit-Baltistan province with the Chinese province of Xinjiang. The cemetery was established in the early 1970s. The tombstones placed over the graves contain epitaph inscriptions in Chinese characters.
