    Great hotel with good and professional staff. Ideally situated in the center of the city with nice restaurants and bars around the corner. I really recommend to stay here!

    The hotel claims four stars, I wouldn't give it more than two. The staff is is courteous and the meals were good, but the room was pretty bad. There was a puddle in the middle of the room from the fridge, unpleasant smell likely due to the humidity, the mattress was unexpectedly bad, the shower would go from too hot to too cold every few seconds, the safe started showing error message so we had to look for a key to open it up.

    Friendly and helpful staff. Nice, not to big rooms and a nice view of the square in front. We came back from Santa Antao (beautiful island, horrible hotel) and were very happy to be back in the luxury and service of Porto Grande. Be sure to check out the beach club, it is as good as the hotel

    One of the best in town. Only shortcomings seen were that the rooms are a bit small and the pool area is a wind tunnel so no place to stay for long.
