Staying at this lodge was a most wonderful welcome to Nicaragua. Michael met us at the border and helped with the luggage. The grounds are beautiful and conscientiously managed, the rooms are comfortable with plenty of space. The shower had great pressure and temperature and while it ran on solar we had plenty of light. We enjoyed several meals and were delighted by each. Handmade and thoughtfully prepared we enjoyed the open veranda and watching the birds. An easy walk to a beautiful beach which afforded incredible views of the islands. Ivaña and Michael go above and beyond for their guests and their knowledge and help were invaluable to us.

They let us camp on site for very little money, and access to a warm shower and clean bathroom. Wonderful food and very nice people. Naturally beautiful property.

Good hotel near the border with Costa Rica. Clean, nice rooms and quiet. The owner's wife cooks delicious dinner and breakfast. If you stay 2 nights you have time for a tour of the Finca with Michael. Really recommended!!

A lovely stay at Blue Morpho. The breakfasts are included and wonderful. The couple who own the small farm are really lovely and friendly. A German and Nicaraguan couple. Note that this place is not on any tourist trail so don't be expecting any restaurants or tours locally. What you should expect is getting away from it all and creative with your time. Walk up the riverbed to find butterflies, loads of wild monkeys and rare fresh water crabs defending their territory. Swim in the lake on a windy day and play in the waves. Take a tour of the farm with the owner and learn about how to make a house "off the grid" with solar, wind, a well and so on.... Very easy to get to the boarder from here.

Wonderful clean and relaxing place to take a break from all of the hustle and bustle. Very Serene and the home cooked food is delicious.
