Very new hotel in an old building, has everything you could want in the middle of a city. The roof garden is amazing at night. The rooms are spacious and have American television.
Located just one block away from Parque Cespedés, hotel imperial is a renovated hotel that has the bones of the original hotel with modern IKEA like features. The newly opened patio and bar located just off the lobby is fabulous! While there is no pool there is a glorious rooftop terrace and bar with beautiful views of Santiago de Cuba. Directly across the street is a large department store (for Cuba) that stocks everything. Water, alcohol, lotions clothing, snacks so every you might need at really affordable prices (as the hotel sells the same things at considerable markups). There is central air, cable TV (dubbed) and refrigerators in the rooms. The rooms do leak during heavy rains as does the lobby so becareful leaving anything on the floor. Close to dance halls La Claquetta and Casa de la Trova as well as an open air souvenir and food market close to the hotel. so lots to see and do. Good choice for a 1st time visitor to Santiago.
In the center of Santiago the hotel has a style of the past, but it is equipped with every comfort. Large rooms with everything, very clean. Friendly staff, good dinner, but not abundant.
Very nice rooms and bathroom, beautiful terrace or where we serve you few cocktails, and restaurant service is poor ....
The friendliness of the entire staff lets me see over the shortcomings.
