Very small "museum" (if you can call this a museum). You will just see few disguises/costumes of Carnaval. There are no explanations about the history or about the costumes. Basically, the museum is just a small corrider you pass through, don't expect to spend more than 30 minutes there. If you try to take any pictures, the staff will try to charge you some additional money.
Great little museum focusing on the culture and everyday life of Cubans.
Good place to visit if you know Spanish. A bit expensive for what you'll see. 2 CUC for 5 min museum.
In advance information, it was closed on Mondays. However, it was opened when I passed by Monday. As group entrants were entering, I asked, "Am I allowed to enter?" The entrance clerk said "Do you understand French?" I wonder if it opened for French group customers. Exhibits were costumes and percussion instruments, and the performance in the courtyard was wonderful. Sanfia, Guaguanco, Columbia, Franco Haitiano, Afro Cuban music and dance were full. At the end of the performance, the congregation that the audience also participated was fun. Thank you for letting us enter.
It is a place where a rich cultural historical tradition of popular festivals in our region is treasured.
