Great service and food- stuffed plantains we’re great for starters

Best restaurant in whole Cuba I guess. Fancy, brave and creative food compositions, which is rare in Cuba. Amazing, cozy and elegant location. It's a bit off from the Trinidad "centre", like 15 minutes walk. But it's definitely worth it.

Unfortunately, the most dreadful food experience I had in a long time and the only bad experience I had in Cuba. My boyfriend and I chose this restaurant for my 30th birthday dinner following some friends recommendation: reviews were also good, so we thought it would be the best place to celebrate this important day. I am deadly allergic to pumpkin and cucumber and a native speaker friend of mine translated my food needs to Spanish for me: every single other restaurant we went to before understood it perfectly and gave excellent service. Our waiter even spoke very good English so I thought we were in good hands: nope. We were served an appetizer and it had cucumber on the plate. I didn't say anything because it was a different waitress that brought it to the table so she probably didn't know and I asked my boyfriend to eat, without having any. No problem. When we received our main course, there was a massive slice of pumpkin under my fish fillet. I almost didn't see it and started eating, I was lucky I noticed it soon enough. When I told our waiter that I couldn't have it, he said he'd change the plate because "it's only a decoration". I explained they couldn't change the plate because I am deadly allergic to it and now all the food was contaminated so they had to cook it fresh, I couldn't have anything on that plate. He repeated he would swap plates so I explained again that I'd die and he said they'd make a fresh one. In the meantime my boyfriend had a few bites of his food because I didn't want him to have it cold. Already extremely upset and now mega hungry, I waited for my new main course to come out. When the food arrived, I could tell it was definitely a new whole dish of food and went to get a bit, happy to have something to eat! The fish fillet was now raw. We asked to only pay for our drinks and leave because the experience was now completely spoiled and I was on the edge of tears, absolutely shocked by the level of service. They wanted my boyfriend to pay for his half eaten food even though we would literally had to go and find a new restaurant to eat in and they ruined my special birthday dinner. After a bit of an argument, we paid for drinks only and left. The atmosphere and band were lovely, the decor as well, but they really need to understand how allergies work and be more open when dealing with a customer's (well justified) complaint.

It doesn’t look like a restaurant from the outside, but it is incredible on the inside! The ambience is fantastic and the food is delicious! Staff was very welcoming too. We really enjoyed our lunch here.

I Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant. The service is súper, very good food and nice live music and environment.... What else ??
