Free Walking Tour Trinidad

normally I don’t like write reviews because as a human we have different perspective but this time I just wanna explain a little bit about what I noticed in this walking tour,it takes about two hours and a free juice is included,they do their best to explain about history and city and answer all your questions about where you can eat cheaper,where you can find best salsa dance classes ,where to party with good music as a backpacker with low budget,although all museums in Cuba have entrance (2-5 COC)so you don’t go inside museums but they recommend good ones so you can check it out by yourself if you want,the most important thing that I wanna mention: it’s a free walking tour but in all over the world you have to pay tips for that ,in some places in South America even they mentioned the minimum tips but here they didn’t mention. If you can not give them at least 3 COC (one beer at local tiendas in Cuba is 1 COC-in bars in Trinidad 2COC) so Please don’t hurt them with giving them 5 or 25 centamos (COP=peso nacional) (0.1 COC)(with these coins they can not buy 2 eggs ) They are not beggars They give you a good service so at least try to be polite,if 3 COC is too much don’t pay nothing(I m sure they feel better like that), unfortunately I saw some people gave them some coins which even it’s not 1 COC,it’s really insulting. also it’s good to remind yourself tourists is the only way that they can earn extra money (every things go to the government pocket in Cuba) also the juice that you receive after 1 hour walking for free it’s extra and they don’t have to include that so try to be at least a little bit generous. Spanish version: Usualmente no me gusta escribir comentarios porque como humanos que somos tenemos diferentes perspectivas, pero esta vez solo quiero explicar un poco sobre algo que llamo mi atención en este recorrido por la cuidad. Esta excursión se realiza en aproximadamente 2 horas y tiene además un jugo de frutas incluido. Los guías dan lo mejor de sí para explicar la historia de la cuidad,su cultura y tradiciones. Ellos responderán todas tus preguntas, donde se puede comer más barato, donde encontrar las mejores fiestas de salsa, donde bailar y encontrar un buen servicio y buena música y cómo mochileros con precios bajos. Aunque para entrar a los museos en Cuba debas pagar 2-5 cuc no entramos pero los guías recomiendan los que valen la pena visitar y así si lo deseas puedes ir luego del tour o al otro día. Lo más importante que me gustaría mencionar: es un recorrido gratis pero en todas partes del mundo se dejan propinas por ese servicio, en algunos lugares de la América del Sur se menciona una suma mínima que se debe pagar al hacer el tour, aquí ellos ni lo mencionan. Si no le pueden dar al menos 3 cuc (una cerveza en las tiendas del estado puede costar 1cuc en los bares de trinidad cuestan 2 o más) entonces no los insulten dándole 5 o 25 cup(0.25 o 1cuc con estas monedas no se pueden no comprar ni 2 huevos. Ellos no son mendigos, le han dado a Ud un buen servicio así que al menos trate de ser cortés. Si 3cuc es mucho para Ud pues no pague nada( estoy seguro que ellos se sentirán menos ofendidos de esta manera) desafortunadamente he visto algunas personas dar como propina algunas monedas que no alcanza a 1 cuc, es de verdad algo insultante. También es bueno recordar que el turismo es para ellos el único modo de hacer algún dinero extra(recuerde que casi todo el dinero en Cuba va a los bolsillos del gobierno) además el jugo que recibe después de una hora de camino es gratis y ellos no necesitan incluirlo así que tratemos al menos de ser generosos..

The guide and "photographer" Ernesto made us a cultural, historical tour; He showed us the best places to listen to music, dance it (with dance class included); He explained how they made cigars ... He showed us picturesque places in Trinidad, among many other things. Ernesto took us to a place from where virtually all of Trinidad could be seen, an incredible place where we could have a pleasant chat and exchange opinions and experiences.
