We just had a fantastic dinner at Rick’s. Rick’s was recommended by some locals we ran into at a local bar. Turns out that Rick was drinking at the same bar at the same time! We were blown away by the great flavors and service by his staff. Good peeps all around and Rick came over to make meaningful conversation and to ensure we were happy. If you are tired of the fried local fare, give Rick’s a try. The flavors and freshness were fantastic and Rick is a truly genuine chef. I love the people we meet traveling!!!
One of my favorite places in Placencia so far. They are pet friendly and even gave my pups bites of chicken. They have their own lovely canine too. The food was great, and for good prices. The atmosphere is awesome! And I love love love their tables on the balcony. 10/10 would recommend.
Went back twice in one week. Would have gone more but they were closed 2 of the days (they close midweek). This is the kind of place you could go every night as the dishes are simple, straight forward but impeccably prepared. Go for the lobster corn chowder if they have it in season. A meal in itself
They have a variety of salads which are really tasty and nourishing - perfect when you're looking to eat something light after going to the beach - but also have other options like pasta and sandwiches if you wish something heavier or more filling. The service was among the fastest we've had here and our server was really nice and attentive to us. We definitely recommend sitting outside in the afternoon to have view of the street while dining!
Lovely dinner at Rick's! Friendly service, good food and good prices. Tasty rum punch to start. The Shrimp Ceviche was delicious, a little tangy and a little sweet. The thin crust pizza was very good. Nice sauce and generous toppings. A good choice for families.
