I spent one week at the beginning of August in Bucharest. Once I discovered Old Town, it was difficult to stay away. City Grill was the first restaurant I visited and became a wonderful introduction to this vibrant and beautiful area of the city. I visited City Grill on three separate occasions: for brunch, early evening and late night. The staff deserve special praise; from the welcome of the hostess on each occasion to the waiting staff who helped to recommend dishes from the menu, each of them helped make my visit complete. And what can I say about the food? So very, very good! Excellent! I will include photos with this review. I particularly recommend the sarmale and I adored the sour tripe soup I had for lunch! Next time you are in Bucharest, give them a call. You will not be disappointed!
A very good restaurant for having a casual meal with family. Friendly and polite staff. Food options will satisfy a broad range of customers.
Food was all right, nothing spectacular though. Nice romanian spirits assortment. The potential is there, location is really nice, a menu revamp would be welcome
I went for lunch and had pork cheeks with a salad. I had to return the salad and refer not to enter into details. The pork cheeks first came cold and I had to complain. It returned in a better temperature.. So this was the bad. I am giving 4 stars because the service is good, and the pork cheeks tasted pretty good. I love to try Romanian food. At the end, I got a Romenian “schnapps” to compensate what had happened during the meal. I am convinced this is an above average option. Give it a try!
Good food and service. They have a charcoal grill where they cook the local dish called "mici". Actually it's the same place where this dish was invented about 150 years ago, or so the legend says :)
