It was a May 7, 1971 in which a group of 65 workers from the hospital area No. 5 of Huancavelica gathered in the sports field of the hospital, under the call of the president of the organizing commission Mr. Juan Ruiz Curípaco; counting on that date with all the requirements of law, it was agreed to officially establish an open-type cooperative with the name COOPERATIVA DE AHORRO Y CRÉDITO HUANCAVELICA LTDA., after multiple efforts in the city of Lima, I am recognized and registered with No. 582 according to RD 271 72 / DGAE / ONAMS. The first years it worked in the environments of the hospital of Yananaco, the employees of administration as well as Financial Reports for INCOOP and other higher organisms were made free of charge the members of the board of directors, when growing the cooperative in accelerated form was in need leaving the center of the city, opening his office in Jr. Nicolás de Pierola No. 433, he finally moved to the Colonial house of the Alarco / Patiño family, thus opening a modern and spacious office, subsequently acquiring, currently a main premises . The Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Huancavelica Ltda. N ° 582 was born with capital of the 65 founding members to date, it grew enormously in a solid and safe way, and since then it has contributed to the development and progress of the once "Villa rica de Oropesa" .
