    RAMSAR site - wetland of international importance. This is Godwit territory but don’t forget the Royal Spoonbills, Herons and many more species of estuary/wetland birds. Easily accessible with excellent vantage points. Foxton Beach is not busy much of the year so perfect for quiet, relaxed bird watching.
