Absolutely stunning to see so many glow worms now with lack of human interference. They are truly thriving and even managed to get a photo or two.
Turns out it's not a cave and also not much fun if you're scared of the dark. Otherwise, it's only a couple of minutes walk off the main road and quite a cool spot to see the glow worms surrounding the trail. Only any good at night, so don't go during the day expecting anything interesting.
Amazing, magical experience! First time seeing glow worms and I find it so fascinating that bioluminescence is created from their kidneys. How cool! I was there at midnight and saw heaps of them. Free and only a short walk from the highway.
When visiting make sure is completely dark. It's amazing to see how many worms there are. Truly a great experience! PS - as you can see from my photo, trying to take photos with your phone doesn't really work.
When I first came in here, I was afraid. An inky darkness. When I overcame my fear and walked for about two minutes. I couldn't believe what I saw in front of me... They emitted thousands of lights like stars in the night sky. This is by far one of the most amazing experiences in my life. Nature's great gift.
