Pretty good museum. From the permanent exposition, Trajan's Column is exquisite! My partner liked the expansive jewelry collection. Enjoy!
Was okay. Not really good as it is rather small. I needed 45 minutes for the whole museum. Unfortunately I did learn only a little about the Romanian history there. But at the same time it is not bad. You can see some interesting things and it is cheap.
The building is very nice, and in a very central location. The Trojan's Column copy is very nice, but otherwise it's very hard to learn something out of the exhibitions. Many explanations are only in Romanian and even if we spoke the language I think it would be hard to understand the exhibitions as there is few text and no guide. Particularly for an exhibition about the restoration process where for instance a video was shown but with zero context. The staff speak few English, and spend their time playing videos very loudly. It also feels a bit left behind, with details such as cash only payment and no soap in the bathroom. We were hoping to learn stuff about Romanian's rich history but it was not the case.
Nice collection of Romanian items. Many items from the war a lot of jewelry and some great ancient artifacts as well. Items from the Hellenic period, the Roman periods and on. Nice collection of the story panels that go on the Roman columns here. Would have been a little better for me if the war section had some English explanation as well as in Romanian. Much of the ancient purses do have English to help newest and the era and location they come from. All in all well worth the 20 lei for admission!
The information is bitty and often only in Romanian. The antique gold, Trajan's Column etc. are impressive, there's just hundreds of ways the information could be better presented. Photo is a golden-leaved part of the Bible.
