    Such a wonderful place it is, hilltop village! Must visit place in sao tome island! Superb weather! Have a coffee at Monte cafe's first floor with scenic view of beautiful sea and port!!

    The girls who work in this museum are super nice. One of them accompanied us on the museum tour and was really good and helpful. We don't speak Portuguese, but I assure you that it made us understand everything. It was exciting to identify with their story. Go to visit it Monte café deserves and also the museum. In the square you will also find a small shop of very convenient local crafts.

    Museum of the history of the estate from the period of its heyday to decline. Small 10-minute guided tour for € 3 with the right to have a cup of local ground coffee on the way out. Nearby there is a restaurant, it looks pretty decent for the local flavor, but with prices in "tridorogo". Go to roça Saudade for a tasting menu for 15 €.
