    Owners: The owner Gašper was very nice and welcoming (he offered me potica and drinks when I arrived), curious of my excursions and was always able to give me tips for my next trip. The rest of his family, especially his parents, were also very nice and helpful all the time, even if there was a small language barrier. Apartment: The apartmant was tidy and well outfitted and relatively new. I even got a free upgrade into a bigger apartment because a long time guest wanted to stay in the smaller apartment instead of moving from one apartment to the other. The pool was sadly closed (off-season) but looked nice. Due to the farm Gašper manages there are always animals (horses, a baby goat, a lamb, a cat and a bunny) around the house, so if you or your kids like animals, this is where you want to stay. Be careful when you drive around the house though! If you're there with kids you should also check the channels before you let your kids watch TV, as there were some adult channels right between NatGeo Wild and the History channel in my apartment. Location: Pri Boštjanovcu and Hotavlje is a very nice place to explore the westerns parts of Slovenia. Pri Boštjanovcu may be a bit tough to find (you need to turn right on a rather narrow and steep street in order to reach it) but the village Hotavlje itself is quite nice. There are many hiking trails in the area and you don't have to drive far in order to see many things. The owner will definitly help you out if you need any suggestions on what to do and where to go. There's a small grocery shop, a vending machine selling exquisite local dairy, eggs and noodles and a very good restaurant (and hotel) called "Lipan" in Hotavlje. Depending on what and where (Hofer, Mercator, Lidl, etc.) you want to buy you may have to drive a bit though. Distances to popular places: Lake Bled (1 hr), Kranj (35 min), Ljubljana (50 min), Postojna Cave (1 hr), Lake Bohinj & Triglav National Park (ca. 1,5hr - very scenic route!), Tolmin & Soca Valley (1 hr), Gorizia/Gorica (1,5 hr), Trieste/Trst (1,5hr)

    The best way to start our trip in Slovenia with the kids. A nice and clean apartment, lots of toys outside and a nice swimming pool in a quiet area. Nothing to complain about and equipped with every luxury. We enjoyed our visit very much. The hostess and host were very friendly. Tasty schnapps;)
