I don't recommend the hospital at all. My father was referred there and the first thing he got was a catheter. After he pulled it himself, he was given morphine. After several days, my mother was informed by the social worker that my father would be moved to a nursing home, which my mother refused because of the great distance. His bag has already been packed by the staff. Since we had the impression that the hospital was dying to get rid of my father, we arranged for a place in a nursing home ourselves. On the way there, my father passed out and died. For us the question arises whether my father was even transportable. Why do you have to expect something like that from an old person? Does the Vitanas just want to keep its own death statistics low?
Passive euthanasia due to massive staff shortage.
This is our third time here, by and large everything is fine. At least now you have the opportunity to visit someone with an appointment and a quick test (was done on site, you have to bring a test for a week - there is a test station opposite). But as a relative (even with a health care proxy) you are absolutely not informed about anything. The patient was now transferred twice to another hospital, the first time there was no information about this, the second time the transfer took place in the evening and the relatives were not informed until around noon the next day. The personal belongings were not given when they were moved (not even the teeth or a handkerchief, no papers), now there are again phone calls and again no feedback as to when the things can be picked up. Feedback from a doctor about the status of treatment was only given on very vehement demand. Now the discharge should take place, the patient sits dressed and with a packed suitcase and waits for the driver and five minutes beforehand, the nurse tells him he is not going home. Unfortunately, the social service could not find a nursing service for a supply with port and nasogastric tube (which is certainly difficult), but again the relatives and the ward were NOT informed. The chief doctor apologized, but everything had to be reorganized and it means a lot of unnecessary stress for everyone, especially the patient (who has been in the hospital since April 19, 2021). The sisters are nice and hard-working. I would like to add that after a massive written complaint on our part, the clinic's complaint management responded very quickly and everything was clarified to our satisfaction.
Here, the money is clearly flowing into other pockets, the clinic equipment staff and patients see the least of it. The fish always starts to stink at the top.
