We loves this hotel! It's really a paradise for families with young kids. It was our 2-year-old's first overnight trip away from home and she loved it. There is so much to do for kids of all ages - lovely sand beach on the lake (which is quite safe and shallow), huge playground with equipment for both toddlers and older kids, archery, mini golf, goats and sheep (kids can even feed them on certain mornings), various indoor playgrounds, pool, spa and movie theater. Plus a whole program of kids' and family activities every day (more for older kids, not toddlers). We did half board and enjoyed both breakfast and dinner buffets. The only small complaint was that the food options were a little limited and the food was fairly basic family fare. We stayed 2 nights and probably would have gotten tired of it on a longer stay. But there are also other options such as a panorama restaurant, Biergarten and beach bar with snacks, plus restaurants and cafes a short walk away in the town. All in all a great, all-inclusive place we'd come back to!
Very nice experience. Staff was very friendly and professional and made our stay enjoyable. My wife somehow lost her wallet and was very relieved to get it back untouched at the reception. Breakfast was great given the low price. Perfect for a family vacation. They even have breakfast areas for children with plastic plates and cutlery. We will definitely come back when our child is old enough to try more of the offered activities. One recommendation is only to include the parking fee in the booking charge even if this increases the price. 8-12€/day without an advance notice might disappoint some guests.
It's a 1970s style. Butlins resort by a lake. Nothing is included. Even water in the room is 3 euros. Beds are okay but bathroom is ancient and the toilet stinks of wee if you open the lid. Bath is tiny. Food, 19 EUR pp, is buffet and very poor quality. The kids areas are worn and tired. The halls smell musty. Average age of paying guests is 65 (slow movers at the buffet) so there is a fight for the tables closest the buffet. Good for a nostalgic experience of how far the US and UK have come since GDR times. Like being on the set of 1986!
The hotel was clean and huge. The outdoor activity places and the beach bar at the Lübbe-Lake were wonderful. People were relaxed and friendly: staff and visitors. Half-board was many and varied, very fresh and tasty. The bathroom and especially the shower in the classic room were extraordinary tiny. The mattress in the bed was unfortunately worn out and so we slept in a kind of mattress-hole which was quite uncomfortable.
I have been there, it was amazing.
