A good-humored employee did the paperwork (including Covid) with us at 10 a.m. Then there was a brief introduction to driving the draisine, parking and turning as well as handling the barriers and crossings. And then it began. The route from Templin to Lychen is approx. 16 km long and can be done in approx. 1:20 - 1:30 h without breaks. The draisines are easy to drive, it didn't seem exhausting to us. As we are used to other saddles, something really hurt us, but there are worse things. The route also seemed to us to be very well maintained, no drooping branches and hardly any nettles or the like at leg height - we have already experienced that differently. In between there are various holding options where you can lift the trolley out of the track bed and "park" it, for example. B. to visit a church or to go swimming. Since the route is a single track, the one-way system applies. Until 2 p.m., all trolleys are only allowed to drive in the direction of Lychen, then only in the direction of Templin. The return journey in Lychen is therefore possible from 2 p.m. at the earliest. Draisines from Fürstenberg also arrive in Lychen. Since they have to return at 12:00 noon, it would theoretically be possible to continue from Lychen towards Fürstenberg from 12:00 noon. The main thing is to be back in Templin at 6:00 p.m. I have no idea whether that would be allowed, if in doubt it is better to ask. In Lychen itself, you can visit a restaurant or have an ice cream and take a walk on the banks of the surrounding lakes. Overall, the whole thing was fun, but we found it a little too expensive.

Friendly, cheerful staff at the start station in Templin. The draisines drive well (better than the ones in Zossen) and it is a scenic route to Lychen. Once in Lychen, you can park the trolley and walk the few hundred meters into town and, for example, go boating or eat something or take a walk between the seven lakes. Price-performance ratio doesn't quite fit, so only 4 stars. It could have been a bit cheaper for the fact that you only cycle for about 1 hour and 15 minutes in each direction and that the route is not cut so well, you come across nettles while pedaling. It doesn't have to be. Especially when you're out and about with kids. Otherwise everything was fine.
