    This stay was in a very old converted building, and was absolutely gorgeous inside. Everything was top quality and built to be environmentally friendly. The thick cotton sheets and duvets were heavenly, and we slept like babies. The room was nice and warm as we arrived in a cold downpour on our bicycles. Our hostess also had a safe place in her garage for our bikes. It was very quiet at night, and in the morning breakfast was delicious. We were even allowed to take sandwiches for lunch with our leftovers from breakfast. Hot water in the shower with a strong stream and soap/towels provided. Now for the best part- our host told us all about the history of the area and the brick-making that took place there. She also gave us her own personal history about living behind the iron curtain as we were heading toward Berlin to ride the 150 KM Mauer cycle route. She was honest and open with us, and it was most appreciated that we were able to learn about the history from someone who actually lived through it. Immer gerne wieder!

    It is very clear that a lot of thought went in to the dishes. Not at all a trivial restaurant in a small town. If you are in the area, this is the place to have dinner. (and try the pork fillet with the Gorgonzola and brandy)

    Very good accommodation, large, cozy rooms. Breakfast delicious and very nice hostess. Don't be put off by the name of the property. It has been called that for 90 years and must not be changed.

    We were guests in the guesthouse for 2 days with several people. We were welcomed by beautiful, new and individually designed rooms. In the morning we were greeted by a lovingly prepared breakfast. If we are looking for something in the area again, we would come back anytime.
