    # Keywords - Super old workshop with belt transmission driven tools (>100 years old) - "Bikes" on rail way - (cost frei, 45 min, every 1 hour from 11:00 ~ 17:00) tour on rail way with fascinate tour guild - Very good place for car/boot parking - Awesome setup for children (Big playground with huge swing / brick DIY / Go Car (3€/hour) / etc) - Very modern _(multimedia)_ way explain the bricks manufacture process. ## Some story - Begin 20th century, in peak season there were 5000~6000 sessional worked here - Peak productivity: 700 million bricks / year - 2x harbors. 1x for finish product (bricks), 1x for coal. - only 5~8 worked here as permanent employment contract. They are experts to control clay quality, machinery maintainer etc. - The sessional workers came from Nordrhein-Westfalen originally. Later on since the salary in Rheinland-Pfalz get better, new workers from Schleswig-Holstein replace the older ones. - The sessional workers just walked here with there whole families belonging (wife / children / properties). They have had only very primitive life, but still got the abilities to send saving back to home. ## Machinery brickyard "Stackebrandt" - The most modern one, built in 1927, 1951 VEB brickyard, 1989 decommissioned. - The locomotive was dismantled by russian after 1945, The one we see now is originally from another starch factory in Erfurt, which was totalled during the war. - The locomotive: built 1921, 325PS, 125U/min, 2bar. - Has 56 small chimneys, which use the rest power of the factory to dry the raw bricks. - integrated ring oven - brick shaping through extrusion, which make the holes through brick possible.

It's an wonderful and entertaining place for kids and adults. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is the lack of English speaking staff. It's a shame.
