The owner family is very friendly and very accommodating. I booked a room last year (summer 2020), which I unfortunately had to cancel at short notice. I was issued a voucher until the end of 2021. We were able to redeem this at very short notice this weekend. We also took the opportunity to eat in the restaurant. It was great. Since it is currently wild time, we were served with local delicacies. The local residents can also be found in the restaurant. The room was great, when you get up you have a direct view of the Martinsloch. I can highly recommend booking the inn for hikes, regardless of whether it is the Segnas or Panixer Pass. I am sure that I will visit the restaurant again! I cannot understand the comment regarding "rest days" Wednesday & Thursday. The homepage is clear and understandable, since the company is run as a small business, should there be an understanding of days off. In my opinion it is worth spending a night in the inn. Very nice rooms and also quiet.
Gestern, Sonntag, 3 Oktober. Sehr enttäuscht, zunächts wenig herzlicher Empfang von Besitzer. Die Kellnerin, die uns bedient hat, war jedoch nett und aufmerksam. Das Mittagessen nichts besonderes hatte viel Salz, halbrohes gemüse ungeniessbar. Zum Schluss brachten nicht an den Tisch unsere Rechnung, die Gäste mussten in einer lange Schlange stehen, um die Rechnung zu bezahlen. Es ist leider keine gute Werbung fürs Glarnerland.
Die Sonne ist meine erste Adresse in Elm. Hier wird Gastfreundschaft mit grossem Herzen gelebt.
