Expensive, but pretty worth the price
Umami Burger’s chicken combo can be easily shared. You can get a lot of food for the money. We usually like to get take out. Get this though, now they use these cool Coco robots to deliver the food. It comes right to the front door. This is a win win! Great food and convenient delivery.
If I were only reviewing the food, I'd say it was a five-star experience based on the quality of my meal versus the amount of money I spent. That being said, I walked in and the staff immediately assumed I was a delivery driver and told me I was supposed to wait outside and that they had a sign up saying so. There was no sign, and no one asked me what I was there for, even though I walked up and told the host (?) that I was there to pick up a to-go order that I placed online. After going through the process of explaining why I was there again to a second person (the one who told me to wait outside), I was out of there with all of my food... almost. They forgot to include one of my items, and the bag was sealed so I didn't check it until I got home. It was only a $4 item, so I didn't make a fuss out of it, but this is pretty basic stuff. All said, I'll be giving it another shot at some point, but I'm planning on trying other local burger joints first.
Had an amazing time here on March 31 which was a very special birthday celebration. The entire crew here is awesome and the food was great. I highly recommend and can’t wait to visit again.
We Got one of the combos with 3 burgers and all the sides for 2 of us. Couldn't finish it. Absolutely delicious. Incredibly well made burgers. Its Art here. Drove all the way from Chula Vista. Almost couldn't make it home. Well worth it. Want to go back and try everything.
