The food is awesome. I couldn't suggest anything to improve. Both of the burgers we ordered were crazy good. They were cooked a perfect chef's medium--a warm pink center. The cashier made an error on our order. The management fixed it immediately. Everyone was exceptionally friendly. There is ample seating for large groups.
The burgers were splendid. I don't like toasted buns - they weren't. Don't know if they toast buns if requested? One of my party had fish tacos, he was very happy. Fries were crisp and hot. Apparently, they are an old established place and one feature you rarely find is a drive-in with a large seating area. Not only a large area but a grassy expanse with huge substantial picnic tables. If you have never experienced this type of drive-in experience don't pass it up (Note: there is also one of these wonderful drive-ins in Selah, WA). As I walked up, a guy was getting his order and he said, 'A cheeseburger, fries and a chocolate shake is 25.00?' California prices are steep; be prepared. Swallow your objections, reach past that 5, that 10 and grab your plastic. In the words of Eric Burton, 'It will be worth it.'
We got 2 cheeseburgers and and fries and beers. It was really good and the price was reasonable. The only reason i gave a 4 is that we were standing in line for too long. They have to expand their cashiers and their kitchen too. They have so many customers so make that place bigger and better if possible. Nobody likes long waiting times when we are hungry.
Order online and skip the perpetual line/wait. Food is good but the ranch dressing is weird. Not bad. Just weird. Would hardly consider it ranch… it’s more of an alternative dipping sauce that they call ranch.
You can't go wrong here. Barbecue western burger, California Burger, teriyaki chicken sandwich, California chicken sandwich, are some of my top picks. Of course any of their French fries, onion rings, or the Mexican street corn are great sides. Wash it down with an ice cold soda, or a delicious blueberry milkshake!! They even have soft serve cones covered in sprinkles!!
