    Love ace hardware in general. WAY better than the non existent service you get from big box hardware stores. These folks are always friendly and helpful. You stand there for 5 minutes and get asked 5 tones of you need help. So nice and refreshing

    ACE is one of the best hardware stores around, it is my go to hardware store as there is someone knowledgeable to help me with my slightest of needs from a tiny screw to a large item. I was sad to see the closure of the Pleasant Hill store where I bought Propane for my motorhome and I always trusted them to fill it right. Now I found the ACE in Martinez with the same stellar service of Propane and other services. Thank you ACE for a great customer service for the last 25 years for me.

    I hate to write a bad review since I really enjoy the service at Bill's Ace Hardware. I've been getting my tanks filled at the Concord Ace location 2 times a week for the past several years and never had any issues. However, the few times I've had propane filled at the Martinez location, two 20 lb tanks have come back overfilled by about 4 pounds each. Both tanks were very new (2018 & 2020). The associates were adamant that propane tanks cannot be overfilled even though the weight clearly showed it was (brought a scale to show the second time around). I don't feel safe getting propane filled here, so I'll be sticking to my guys over at Concord!

    Had a visit with my grandson at Bill's Ace. While my grandson was on break outside , I told him I needed some black spray paint. Without blinking an eye, he said "Go in the door, turn right and go all the way down to the end, turn left, and it will be on the left side about 30'. Sure enough there it was. I like Bill's. 😎

    I came in looking for an AC filter. They ended up not having it. But an employee came up to help me as soon as I looked lost. She helped me look around for the it and then we looked online to see if it was available. Its hard to find people who are willing to help and be kind these days. They have an amazing selection and I will for sure come back. Ive come in to have keys made before as well and they were super quick with those!
