Just what a traveller wants, clean, well designed functional rooms. No frills but everything perfect & all you need. Restaurant food is superb, fish, meat, chicken all perfectly cooked with big flavours, also without any shadow of a doubt their Truffle Fries are the best fries I have had anywhere in the world. Superb range of local beers. Staff are all friendly, helpful and a joy to deal with. Would recommend Centrum Guesthouse to anyone.
Just what my fiance and I needed halfway through our trip around the Ring Road. Perfectly situated in Downtown Akureyri with an easy check in. Free parking after 16:00 which was nice. The bed was super comfortable and the room had everything needed for a great stay! Extra points for the restaurant right downstairs and letting us take our dessert back upstairs to our room to enjoy :)
It’s a nice place to stay at. However, this is NOT a hotel. The title is misleading. This is a guesthouse. Hence, there is no reception desk and no room cleaning during the stay. The room was very nice and super clean. Note that breakfast is only from 8-10 so it is not ideal for business trips if you have to be out early. But over all a really nice stay and I would go there again but with lower expectations on service as this is not a hotel :) 4/5
Very comfortable room, central location Bedroom and bedding is really comfortable, private bathroom, good room amenities, partially equipped kitchen, but right in the middle of Akureyri. The receptionist who greeted us was amazing, very friendly, provide information and made us feel very welcome. The only problem was that we could not open the window. The room was facing the back and was right above the kitchen vents, so it was smelling either fish in the evening, or eggs in the morning.
Enjoyed my stay. Clean rooms and good location, right in the middle of town. I thought parking might be a problem but it was not. There was plenty of parking around.
