What wonderful memories I have from here! Walking from Lielvārde for about 5km in 50min to get to this bakery to try some local Latvian bread and pastries and all we found was a closed bakery where the very hospitable owner welcomed us. Not just was he friendly and kind to us but he also patiently showed us around his barn and explained us about his antique collection, showed us the bakery and eventually gave us a loaf of bread - and that, despite of being closed, having outside temperatures of -20 degrees and an ongoing pandemics where people seemingly lose the value of human kindness. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back on my next trip! :)
The Owner is such a generous person and shares a lot of passion for his craft and likes to educate and tell the visitors about it. Truly magical place, come here and experience the countryside! :)
