The room was large, cosy and nicely furbished; we haven't overheard any other rooms, neighbours. Cleanliness wasn't perfect both in the room and in the common kitchen (the oven was so dirty it has smoked and triggered the fire alarm during use). During our one night stay we haven't met any staff member, even the direct phone at the door wasn't working.
I rarely leave bad reviews but this is the exceptional case! This is definitely the worst place I stayed in Iceland and one of the the dirtiest hostels I have ever seen. The bed wasn’t even remotely clean and the floor was gross. I’d leave 0 stars if I could but one can stay for the view.
Got a private room at the hostel. Self check-in was very easy and efficient. The room was nice, clean and had a bathroom w/shower. The bed was very comfortable and everything in my room was clean. The communal space was a little crowded with the tables and chairs, with limited dishes and appliances compared to other hostels I stayed at in my trip. Parking on the street is super easy if you have a rental car. I was a bit disappointed that there were basically no restaurants nearby. It's a good place for a stop over outside Reykjavik as you head out on your trip, just make sure to grab some food at a grocery store or eat before you arrive.
Awful, terrible place. Very dirty, including dirt on the pillows,no towels, broken tap in the kitchen.
Room was very good, kitchen could be cleaner
