Very cool place to visit. Guðrún is happy to have visitors and show them her hand dying process. There are souveniers and yarn for sale, but no pressure to spend money.
This is the cutest little shop ever! Guðrún gave us a demonstration of her dyeing process (lots of little pots!) And showed off all the native Icelandic plants used to create different colours. She also demonstrated the plants, insect parts, and other bases that were imported to create different colours which were not native to Iceland. She also has a retirement home for chickens! And a really cute dog. Note: To get there, take road 508. This pin is the turn off, but the road is missing from Google maps. You'll see a small yellow sign labelled "Hespahusio" in crafty writing which points up her driveway!
