    What an amazing experience. For a small museum, the place is jam-packed with artefacts and memorabilia. Sadly most are in Russian, but we were fortunate to have a military person who happened to visit the museum at the same time, offering to give us explanations which was just great. They have an excellent model of the Issel-Kul Lake with background which makes the visit really beneficial. The museum is very centrally located and on the Main Road of Cholpon Ata.

    If you get this far then you need to take a look at this museum which is jam packed with stuff. Slightly difficult to follow all of it as there are few English translations but just take a look at the pictures I posted. And of course if you have got this far then congratulations to you for your perseverance and di you go and see the Petrographs up the road.
