Positives: good size room, good view, the host got us a rental car very quickly, the host tried his best to clean the bathroom after our request. Negatives: upon arrival there was no-one to welcome for 20 minutes, the bathroom and the fridge were dirty (I am attaching pictures), the lodge itself is at the top of a VERY steep road, the neighborwhood is not the best (rubbish outside multiple bins, a lot of rubbish at the entrance of the closest beach), the bed sheets were never changed (5 nights stay), the room got tidied once, the cups and glasses at breakfast were dirty every day. Suggestions: go there if you really have to, rent a car immediately so you can esplore other areas of this beautiful island.
So sad to see that in one year this lodge has nothing to do what he gave us before. Dirty room, broken glass window cabinet in bathroom, water leaking everywhere in bathroom, the tenants are very nice people but they are no more providing the same service as before. No one to reply the mail sent to them, while on phone we asked for extending our stay, they say we will discuss about it on the day we reached but they did not do so cause the man said his wife who is in charge of that and that she is absent.we finally stayed without knowing the conditions. We ended up paying half the price for some more hours. Very bad service, bad food, dirty rooms and not welcoming at all. Never again.
Clean rooms and friendly hosts
We spent here 2 weeks and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located close to the airport with beautiful overview from the hill where is situated. If you don´t rent a car, it´s few minutes by walk from the main road with bus stops. Using public transport is a bit adventure but we did it for few days without any problem. Marie-Rose, Charlie and their son Denis were very very kind, friendly and helpful in every request we had. They picked us up from the airport, ensured our trip around islands, rented the car for us, managed taxi for the way back to the airport. They answered every single question we had, prepared very tasty breakfast for us (even earlier because of our early departure to the islands´ trip). We are really thankful to make our stay unforgettable and we can just recommend this place!
